Who is Jesus as your shepherd

Today we are drawing our scripture from the book of Psalm 23:1 , which says, the lord is my shepherd I shall not want. The psalmist viewed Jesus as shepherd and for us to have clear view of Jesus here, we need to understand who a shepherd is. A shepherd is someone who guides the sheep, lead them to where they can get the food that will nourish their body, ensure that the sheep don't lack what they need to survive and keep them from the destroyers. The above explanation opens our eyes to the understanding  Jesus as our shepherd has the responsibility to take care of our needs and ensures that we don't lack what we need to survive in this world, salvation, sanctification, foods and raiment, protection against the attacks of the enemies, to the point of making intercession for us in the presence of the father.  We can become sheep of his pasture today by accepting Christ as our saviour and turning away from all our wrong doings. Be the sheep of his pasture today, eternity i...

Daily devotion

*DAILY Ⓜ️ANNA* *Wed, 3rd Apr, 2024* *The Test For Fitness*    *TEXT*: JUDGES 7:1-8 *Key Verse*: "And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place" (JUDGES 7:7).      Available statistics reveal that we spend a lot of money on fitness and well-being - $828 billion globally in 2018. Being mindful of our physical wellness is important. The Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA (a hospital focused on integrated health care, education and research) suggests that being active improves our mental health and energy level, helps us sleep better and guard against disease.      "Gideon's 300 soldiers" is a very remarkable story. It reveals God's preference for quality rather than quantity in choosing people for His service. Gideon had the divine mandate to fight against the Midianites. He had given a clarion call to arms and 32...
*Misuse Of Tongue Judged*    *TEXT*: NUMBERS 12:1-16 *Key Verse*: "And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it" (NUMBERS 12:2).      As recent as June 2020, a research study presented to the European Society of Cardiology confirmed once again the connection between the heart and the tongue. It found that microorganisms on the tongue could help diagnose heart failure. The study author said, "Our study found that the composition, quantity and dominant bacteria of the tongue coating differ between heart failure patients and healthy people."      The heart-tongue connection holds particularly true in the criticism of Moses by Aaron and Miriam. Their words were a mishmash of petty jealousy, bitter resentment, and family gossip but the root of their dissent was in their hearts. God had no problem with Moses' marriage and why should they? God had chosen Moses above them both and who could...

The whole race of human was sold under sin ,and hence, are to face eternal punishment but God in his divine wisdom offer up his only begoten son so that he can pay for the debt we owe. Therefore, embrace this generosity today and have eternity to gain. Jesus is coming soon.
